+7I own 'em, use 'em, and teach my wife and kids about 'em. They have protected us more than once. They have put food on our table countless times. They are a tool to be respected just like anything else that could be dangerous in the wrong hands i.e. a chainsaw.
Mr. Lott is not pro - OR - con on the subject of guns . He is a Numbers Guy who set out to do an unobjective report on the subjest of Guns & Crime and how they relate . What he found was astounding . He used D.O.J. reports and figures , F.B.I. figures , B.A.T.F. figures and others . JUST FACTS !
Gun related crime has been falling dramatically for decades ( not going up ) . Guns are used thousands of times EVERY YEAR by private citizens to STOP CRIME ! The facts are in . Anybody that tells you any different is a LIAR with a political agenda .

In the hands of criminals, the possibility of a fatality increases.
In the hands of law enforcement, they are better protected.
In the hands of irresponsible gun owners, they can be the cause of accidental deaths.
In the hands of responsible gun owners, they can be a source of protection.
If they would allow citizens to defend themselves , your murder rate would be cut in HALF or lower . Your Mob Boss Mayor wants people defenseless .
