GRRR Kindle arrived 2 days early from Amazon and NOT one direction as to how to use it !!!I am ripping mad.

I typed in Amazon Kindle and there is a quick tour on the site. It might take a little while to set it up.

The nice thing about the Nook is that you can actually go to a Barnes and Noble to get instructions. Try the Amazon website to see if a) they have a manual you can download, and/or b) they have some instructional videos on its use.

Good luck! Eventually, you'll figure it out and love it, I think. :)

Well, I'm sorry you're having so many problems. If it was with a Nook, I could help you. I'm glad, though, that a couple of your friends are here who have Kindles and can help you.

I felt that same way when I got my cell phone, but I finally figured it out. I don't have a Kindle so I can't help you any. Maybe John above can give you some pointers, he's pretty smart about those kinds of things.

It should guide you through if you turn it on. If not:

Plug it in and let it charge for an hour or so.

Go online to Amazon.com and you should see a "manage my kindle" section under "Your Account" and check out kindle help.

I have also called them in the past and they were *very* helpful.

I can't find the number at the moment but try "contact us"
