Google Wants to Legalize Same Sex Marriage Worldwide. Are you happy about this?
sex marriage across the world at an LGBT conference on Saturday. Pointed
out to us by Think Progress, Dot429 reports Google's Mark Palmer-Edgecumbe announced the "Legalize Love" campaign at
an LGBT Workplace Summit in London on Saturday. The initiative starts
in Singapore and Poland, but will eventually expand to every country
that has a Google office. The idea is to "focus on places with
homophobic cultures, where anti-gay laws exist," before expanding into
more liberal countries.
Palmer-Edgecumbe explained why Singapore is a good place for the
company to start their campaign. "Singapore wants to be a global
financial center and world leader and we can push them on the fact that
being a global center and a world leader means you have to treat all
people the same, irrespective of their sexual orientation," he said.
In some instances, he said Google hasn't been able to employ the best
person for the job because of some countries anti-gay culture. "We have
had a number of instances where we have been trying to hire people into
countries where there are these issues and have been unable to put the
best person into a job in that country," he explained.
While the official "Legalize Love" campaign was just announced on
Saturday, Google's never been shy about the company's support for gay
marriage. As the Huffington Post points out, the company publicly condemned California's Proposition 8,
saying "it is the chilling and discriminatory effect of the proposition
on many of our employees that brings Google to publicly oppose
Proposition 8." Also, this year's Valentine's Day Google doodle featured
same sex couples in a collage at the end of the video. You can watch

homophobic cultures, where anti-gay laws exist," before expanding into

And I'm guessing that with that strategy, they will never get to the more liberal countries. For my part, I could care less. Sexual deviants would be advised to just avoid certain places like Muslim theocracies. Live and let live!

Whoa ... wait a minute. I thought (at least according to the pro-"gay marriage" liberal crowd) that it was Christianity's fault that "gay marriage" wasn't legal.
And yet the "gay marriage" worldwide campaign is staring in Singapore ... where less than 20% of the population professes to be Christians!
And what about here in Japan? Nobody is pushing for "gay marriage" here, for the most part. And hardly anyone is Christian.
So, clearly, opposition to "gay marriage" isn't just a "Christian thing." Contrary to what we're told by secularist-humanist Americans who can't imagine a non-Christian opposing "gay marriage."
