Very cool stuff with a lot of potential. I think it's the next "iPad" innovation.

There are things I like about it, it would probably be pretty useful, but I won't get one. I swore off cellphones when I learned they cause brain damage and cancer. The idea of walking around all day with a cellphone running doesn't appeal to me.

remove Bluetooth from ear....STICK IT IN YOUR EYE!!

That's far to technically advanced....I hate that.

Scary, Imaging you have to take this glasses to proof your job performance, record your conversations, document POV on group activities and just imagine how much more nonsense will be found on Facebook "Glassbook"?

Does any one else see the danger in driving with a screen in your glasses? I mean wouldn't this divert your attention?

.."eye" guess texting while driving just wasn't dangerous enough...

I'm pretty sure it will be made illegal to actually use them while driving eventually...same as phones and such. It may be convenient, but until we have self driving cars on an automated road system that's infallible...one must still pull over nonetheless.

It's actually just the beginning, it's only a stepping stone before they go on with augmented reality glasses

Eyepiece computing displays are not new - - but Googles use if one is.

We shall see where it goes.

Hey, with the right software, We also might be close to FINALLY having those X-RAY Glasses that can see through clothing! Hell yea!

That's right; they are selling developer versions to start inspiring others to get involved and innovating in the space.

I personally won't be paying into that, but I think that a great number of people will. It's cool, but for me it's useless.

There was a good TV drama by Charlie Brooker that explored this kind of technology but more the "record everything" aspect of it, it's worth a watch.

Okay, I just submitted my answer, it was this whole sci-fi sort of scenario where I use facial recognition to remember people I can't really remember and look ultra cool to everyone by being so super thoughtful and remembering their family and junk, ANYHOW!!! I hit enter, and it just disappeared! like a sucky magic trick...
So I'm gonna post it in an edit coz it's some good stuffs... :P


I'm hoping that I can get one someday, I've been working on a design for the glasses myself anyway so I'm curious to see if my ideas come anywhere close to theirs. These things are a great idea, with good facial recognition software, you won't ever have to wonder where you know this person or that person from ever again, If you keep good records it will be in there.
