God created the universe and set it to operate under what we've learned as the laws of nature and physics. Science is merely the study of those laws. The two are not mutually exclusive, you can scarcely believe one without believing the other.
I believe in God but you can't believe in science. Science is about investigation, experiments, math and the scientific method. You can't believe in science in itself as a whole.
I like science too. These aren't mutually exclusive. Science does not preclude the existence of god. M theory is up to 21 extra demensions. God could exist in any or all.
Einstein was a non observant Jew who attended a Catholic Elementary School. In an
interview published by Time magazine with George Viereck, Einstein spoke about his feelings about Christianity. Einstein was asked to what extent he was influenced by Christianity, and he replied, " As a child I received instructions in the Bible and the Talmud. I am a Jew, but I am entralled by the luminous figure of the Nazarene ". He was then asked if he had accepted the " historical existence of Jesus " . He replied, " Unquestionably ! No one can read the Gospels without feeling the actual presence of Jesus. His personality pulsates in every word.
No myth is filled with such life ".
Let's hope on his deathbed he accepted Jesus Christ in his heart as his Lord and Savior.
As for you, isn't it a little early in the day to be testy ?
Non observant in his case is a plus. He was open to Christianity as well as
Judaism. One never knows what he prayed or confessed to God / Jesus in his last days. He was a scientist perhaps walking a fine line between science and theology.
The bottom line is we have to pray for the souls who passed that they hopefully accepted the Lord. Otherwise pray that the Lord isn't too picky. LOL !
You just quoted his same exact statement as you did on your last reply !
I don't understand where you are going here, but he also quoted what I posted from an interview. I do not believe that he was an agnostic all his life. I believe, and hope that my intuition is right, that he may have come to the Lord in the end of his journey here on earth. From the interview that I have read and posted, it does sound to me that he was open to Christianity. Very much so. I think we should pray that he did and move on. I've given my opinion on this matter and I've said all I intend to say about it. I also first posted his quote that you called a " false quote " because I liked it and I didn't think it was false. I think there is some truth to it.
The quote you are scrutinizing is from 1929. It looks like he might
have made the interview that I posted after that date. Hey, can we move on to bigger pastures now ? What is this fanaticism you have with Einstein ?
Let him RIP. We are not God. God is his judge.
"Religion is bias, hatred, intimidation, and division." Your statement regarding religion here is prejudicial which is bias and pro-division which will result in hate and intimidation. Live and let live.
I don't "believe" in science. Science is a process for describing the universe and the process by which we find out more about the universe. It isn't something you can "believe" in. You are using a computer, you believe in science. But withe some science, people choose to glance at, shake their head, and scream "Nu-uh" at it. The perfect adjective for these people is: dumb.
This question was beautiful, because you took out any weaseling around the point! Bravo!
I remember a long time ago, Carl Sagan was being interviewed and was asked if he believed in God. hmmmmm....
So Carl said that he did if you meant by God the summation of all phenomena in the universe. In other words he solved the problem of not lying while still not offending the middle American book buying public! Brilliant Carl! It's also what happens when the topic generally comes up. People come up with some weaselly crap.
thats good you believe in both. Didn't think to put that answer, but most will choose God if they believe in him even slightly and thats what im aiming for is to get results on who believes in him and who dosnt
51% science
49% God
Thank you...

So again, good job on structuring the question.
