Little girls have always liked dolls ... but now, not-so-little girls may be liking them a little too much. As in, trying to turn themselves into living Barbies. According to The Daily Mail, teens who look like dolls are becoming Internet sensations, dispensing beauty tips to their legions of adoring fans.

According to the Mail, Dakota Rose (known to her fans as Kota Koti) has been called a real-life Barbie due to her big eyes and doll-like lips and complexion. Kota silently gives fashion and beauty tutorials on YouTube, while subtitles explain her makeup and style tips. (Get it? Dolls don't talk!)

Another "living doll," known as Venus Angelic, also gives tutorials. A Bolivian newspaper, Opinion.com.bo reported: "Thousands of girls around the world have shown interest in this girl, wanting to look like her." We don't know about you, but this seems like a pretty disturbing trend to us. Do you think it's healthy for girls to aspire to look like dolls? Or totally sick?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this something that was viewed as an unhealthy trend in the 90s that was doing severe damage to girls' self-esteem? In my opinion, it's still a disturbing 'fashion statement' - and women like Nicki Minaj set a horrible example by modeling themselves after unrealistic figures made of plastic. I honestly fear for the impressionable youth subjected to images of her and told she's a sex symbol.

Whats wrong with trying to make yourself beautiful and IN SHAPE! This whole country is full of obese people saying its ok to be BIG! I say bullcrap! Its not ok. Its a health hazard and its costing this country BILLIONS of dollars every year! I say if you weigh out of a certain range according to height then you should pay more for your private healthcare! Period!

I know right. To obese people the society never tell them "it's unhealthy, lose weight". Instead they compliment them and talk about how they are so beautiful the way they are and they don't have to change a thing. But when these girls with healthy weight are into harmless fashion fad the society freaks out and call them "unhealthy".... I don't get it >.>

You need another option.....It is just a fad. In my day it was Twiggy. We all made our eyes huge like hers. I did it at 16 too. It's a fad. Keene paintings were ghastly, but the style in the 1960's and all the girls tried to make their eyes huge with make-up. This is just a fad. And NOT an original one.

You only gave two options to choose from. I don't find it sweet but I do not find it sick. It is just a fad. It looks kinda neat. I see nothing wrong with it as long as they aren't doing it all the time. I think the best "doll" will be one with porcelain skin tone and super light blonde hair.
