When the law is gone. Its up to the state to enforce the laws of its citizen want to have.

Eventually there will be same sex marriage in all 50 states. They will go screaming and kicking just like they did on inter racial marriage when they got told by SCOTUS that "marriage is a basic human civil right"

You may be right. National laws supercede state laws.

This could be a national law. AG Eric Holder will decide one way or another soon.

i believe that gay people have the right to be married... i mean they are humans too... so why shouldnt they have the same rights as everyone else? i think if they let people that are NOT in love get married the they should let people who DO love each other get married whether it is same sex or not....

Honestly, I don't think the law should have any say in the institution of marriage. We should get rid of the governnent involvement.

Marriage is just as sacred whether the married couple are man and woman, man and man, or woman and woman.
2 people in love is 2 people in love.

i don't care if he did or not, and if it turns out gay marriage will be accepted in all 50 states, then i'll be happy because that will be yet another step towards tolerance, with tolerance comes the absence of hate, and absence of hate provides means for a true peace. I hope he did pave the way, because then when it is accepted by law that gay people can marry the masses will attack something else instead.

That's one way of looking at it. Does that diminish traditional marriages in any way?

nothing is diminshed, all that would of happened is people will be free to marry whom they love, be it same sex or opposite, we can't help who we fall in love with, just because we would have same sex couples doesn't mean we will live in a gay only world, people will still have regualr marriages as well, i think people worry too much to be honest, did you know stress is the number 1 cause of 60% of deaths, relax, it's going to be just fine.

A marriage between only a man & a woman may be unconstitutional. AG Eric Holder will make a decission soon.
