As we start the Summer season, I thought it might be interesting to keep track of Gasoline prices around the country. I am putting this into Blog form so that eveyone can come back and give the new prices each week. Hope that no one is as burdened as we were a few years ago when Gas hit $4.00/ Gal.

    Add in along with those notes other price increases! When gas goes up so does everything else...and I mean EVERYTHING! Its no wonder a dollar isn't worth anything anymore...greed takes the life out of ya and slavery never dies!

    These gas stops are getting really funny now... they went down to 3.24 from 3.31... but in the last week they dropped to 3.23... then today... 3.22!!!!!
    They go down by pennies but jump up by dimes!

    Gas here is running around 7.70 NIS per liter or (@ 3.6 NIS to the $) ...$2.14 for a liter of gasoline. 3.78541 liters equal a gallon so, 3.78541 x $2.14 = $8.10 for a gallon of gas! You, my friend, might consider yourself lucky since you are paying about half what it costs an Israeli driver for gasoline (assuming you're paying $4.00/gallon.)

    Wow... thank you for responding... I am sorry for the prices you have to pay. I just hope your distances are shorter than over here. Normal commutes for most people are at least 50 miles a day.

    I don't drive any more. I use the buses, which are pretty decent and reasonably priced, especially for a 'Senior Citizen, such as myself. Seniors pay roughly 1/2 of the usual rates. But, as I go to and fro on the buses I do take note of the price of gasoline at the various gas stations here in town. Even if I had a car, which I do not, I couldn't afford to drive it due to the fuel costs and insurance rates being what they are, crazy! Israeli drivers seem, mostly, to be a little on the wacko side, even the bus drivers! Many of the Egged (Israels' national bus line) drivers seem to think that they are in competition at 'Le Mans' based upon the way they drive. But the buses themselves are actually first rate and world class (Scania Euro 3, 4 or 5's) see picture: very nice and comfortable Egged busses

    Illinois state average is over $4.00 thanks to Chitown prices downstate are low of $3.79 on up but the tell tale red arrow always seems to be pointed up. Maybe we can get another tax or gas surcharge added before the legislative shysters adjoin for the summer.

    Las Vegas is currently sitting at between 3.29 and 3.53 per gallon. I expect it to go over $4.00 before the summer is in full swing.
