Gal on Dr.Phil is getting married for 11th time...What think ye?

my decision to stop after two failed marriages is the correct decision. It is a shame that some are so co-dependent they feel a 'need' to grab onto anything that comes their way. sigh.

She needs to get a clue on what commitment and relationship is all about!!

I've long been of the opinion that marriage should be a three strikes and you're out deal. ( This only counts divorces, not the death of a spouse -- unless you are the one who caused that death) Personally, I belive you shouldn't get married until you're mature enough to know your mind (and your mate) well enough to do it once permanently. However, people do sometimes make mistakes. I can understand that. But before you go into marriage again, you should evaluate what went wrong so you don't make the same mistake. If you have a second failure, you should have mandatory professional counselling before you can get another marriage license, and if you fail for the third time, that should be it. Some people aren't meant to be married. (I married for the first time at 39. That person is still my husband 18 years later.)

If you can't get it right that many times, why get married again at all? :)

I think she should give up marrying until she can learn to commit to just one person for at least a year or two. ;p

I realise that sometimes it takes multiple attempts to find "the one", but it sounds like she's rushing into marriage far too fast. I think the best "treatment" would be refraining from marriage for 5 years... if she's still with him and still wants to get married, then maybe this will be the time. If they're going to last, waiting to get married isn't going to hurt anything.

I think she should give up on marriage,she's trying to average about two years per marriage. Pretty soon, she'll top Elizabeth Taylor and Mickey Rooney combined!

She should never marry again, obviously she doesn't understand the vows. Live with them if you have to be with someone but not marry if your aren't willing to stand behind your vows.

If she can still find a guy to marry her based upon her history more power to her. I personally think the men that marry her need some mental evaluation but whatever works for people. One thought does she get a discount on the marriage license?
