I am thankful that this country can tolerate these infantile people. But it is the job of every other intelligent American to insure that these people never attain control of the government or the leadership of our country. Religions were created by men to control the feeble minded, and to help explain nature and history and destiny in an easily understood way, so as to give hope to those who are governed. If one believes in an afterlife of happiness and goodness, then their miserable earthly existence can be tolerated.
Best part... most of these arguments have been used here on Sodahead. Some of them against me. I still find this level of willful ignorance both infuriating and hilarious.
I once got into an argument with a fundie about the flood. He claimed that there was 6 miles of water under the earths crust and was suddenly released......yup, this is true.
Tough choices here..... As funny as it is, it's equally disturbuing to know that there are SO MANY who actually think like that. In fact, these are not rare cases, this is actually what most Christians believe.
And, as I said, it is disturbing.... But sadly, not shocking.
