Health officials are being increasingly concerned with individuals who "hook up" or have sex with "friends with benefits." They say these casual sexual encounters are more likely to spread sexually transmitted diseases than person involved in a romantic relationship because they tend to be monogamous. In a study, for both males and females, having sex with a friend meant they were less likely to be monogamous. Also, when people have sex with a friend, they are more trusting of their partner so they tend to be more prone to not use protection. Do you think is this true? Will it prevent you from hooking up with your friends?

'Friends with benefits' is completely irresponsible. It is nothing more than immature people looking for 'a good time' without any consequences. Every action has censequenses. So, yeah, I'll speak out against it.

i have only had one sexual partner! i think that it probably is a good idea to masturbate than to go out and have sex because you are more likely to get a std from sex as compared to masturbation. i don't think u can get a std from masturbation :P

Well, actually, no, not anymore than having sex with anyone does.

If your friends are people you trust, and you always wear a condom, you've got no worries.

dabbled with that experience, and will not do it again for all the reasons listed below... no matter what someone says, you are driven to a monogomous existence.. the "benefits" program will only reinforce that 1:1 driving force sooner than later.

Damn. My wife is too old to care and I know some ready, willing, and able 19-21 year olds, but they have some experience and that kind of dampens my enthusiasm. No, I did not seek them out, but knew them as kids, and as is inevitable they grew up to legal age and still look at me with that 'look' and have let it be known that they are willing. Weird but true.
