I posted this in the cancer sucks group but I don't think it got shared to anyone

I'm sorry to tell you all that Flash's condition detoriated over the weekend and we had to have her ethanised on Monday. The vet was really supportive but its the hardest thing we've ever had to do and the vet was trying not to cry.
We took her home and made a memorial garden for her with some nice plants and a little angel statue.
She was honestly the light of my life and I am so devastated that she has gone, but I'm so glad I got the time to spend with her that I did.

I think this just brought back some memories... I lost my dog Brandy to cancer about 4years ago. Now my cousin is dying they don't even know if she'll make it to Christmas. But I understand your grief and pain. It's hard. So if you need someone I'm here for you.

I'm really sorry to hear that. I lost my dad and 2 grandads to cancer. My mum has ovarian cancer but is nearly finsihed her chemo.

So sorry to hear it. I went through it 3 years ago and I truly feel for you. they are your children, your best friend and your family member. Remember the love you both gave each other.

awww, so sorry!!! i have tears in my eyes!!

at least she is not in pain anymore and, like you say, you got to spend almost 7 years with her. you'll always have the memories and in a way she'll always be with you =)

i am very sorry to hear about your loss...i can understand your pain...i lost my dear little cat bonnie in 2005 due to thyroid cancer...we parents took her to the vet to have her euthanasied (i didn't go because it was too painful) and i felt very empty after i lost her and now i have another kitty named maxi...he doesn't ever replace bonnie but he is the most precious kitty in my life:)

I work at a cattery and the kitties are always snuggling up to me there, its nice
