Five-Year-Old Suri Cruise Has $150,000 Shoe Collection: Too Cute or Too Spoiled?

As if you don't feel poor enough already, we have some sad/bad news: A 5-year-old has a nicer shoe collection than you do. And in some cases, perhaps, this jetsetter kid's fancy feet are worth more than your house.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' daughter Suri Cruise reportedly has $150,000 worth of designer shoes, including kicks from Christian Louboutin and Marc Jacobs. The Hollywood tot has also been photographed wearing (relatively cheap) $110 Ugg boots.

A source told Star magazine: "Suri has so many designer shoes. She’s a massive fan of Marc Jacobs and she’s had several shoes custom-made, so if they didn’t come with a heel, Katie had them redesigned for Suri. She commissioned a pair of Louboutins for her a while back!"

And what Suri wants, Suri gets.

"The older she gets, the less she wants to wear anything but little heels," the source continued. "Even when she’s going to play dates or walking on the beach, she cries if Katie reaches for anything but a little pair of sandals with some sort of heel."

Meanwhile, the rest of Suri's wardrobe is believed to be worth a shocking $3.2 million. She's been seen wearing a $2,140 Dolce & Gabbana trench coat and toting an $800 miniature version of her mother's Ferragamo bag, according to The Daily Mail.

Do you think Suri will grow up to be spoiled? Or will she turn out just fine, despite the designer duds?

    I'm 14 and I'm content with a pair of $30-$40 low-top converse shoes.

The 24 people who said that she's too cute must be mad.

Wow... she can afford expensive shoes and has an interest in fashion.
Is she a monster because of that?
I hate it when every priviledged girl is labelled "spoiled brat" just like that. None of you know the real Suri really well, so stop the prejudice, please.
The fact that she is spoilt by her parents doesn't mean that she will absolutely become a "Paris Hilton". Who knows? She may turn out to be a classy, smart and ladylike woman one day.
    We can only wait...

Just because her family is famous, does NOT mean she needs or deserves 150,000 dollars worth of shoes!

Sure spoiling your child is nice, however, there are children out there with not even 1 pair of shoes. Don't they know how much they could help them?

It's not about what she has, it's about what her parents are teaching her and the morals and values she is growing up with. Just because someone grew up wealthy doesn't make them spoiled

Even if I could afford it, I don't think I would do that for a 5 yr. old. Sure they can get more and nicer clothes but that's going a little far. But I still love you Katie!! Hope you donate those shoes when she grows out of them!

I could really care less about the expense, it is a drop in the bucket for these people. I am more concerned about her feet. By the time she is 25, they will be deformed because she is incessantly wearing heels. She will also have some serious back issues. http://thenewmiddleschool.fil...

these stories are always retarded because of COURSE 150k is too much compared to most of us, but relative to the amount of $$ they have, it's no different than your kid having a large PS3 game collection. gtfover it.

Damn I wish my parents could buy me shoes that nice! Although they spoiled me with teddy bears, which I still have, and other things that many kids my age didn't have at that time, so I can't complain. =P

I think only time will tell if Suri becomes a spoilt brat or not. I don't think that just because a child is lavished with nice things, that they will become demanding and self centered brats. A lot of them do, there's no denying it, but people are all the same, there are some good and lovely people who were also spoiled while younger.

Well they will certainly regret spending that much on her as a child, I can't begin to imagine what she will be like when she's in her teens. She'll want everything in every goddamn shop...

    Good luck to them

I was reading this thinking...okay...that's fine...then I got to the bit where she throws a tantrum if she can't wear heeled sandals.

    ...I don't have a single pair of heeled sandals and I'm 13.

I think there are other uses of money rather than spending it on shoes. Shoes are shoes, but there are shoes which are stylish to wear and go out in. I don't see why she needs $150,000 of them. And she's only little. Let the kid act her age. She's only 5 years old. I myself found more fun playing with my friends and cuddly toys at that age.

Her parents work hard. They make more money than you. Therefore they can afford nicer stuff than you. Just because you choose to work for minimum wage at a MacDonalds, does not mean that everyone else enjoys the poor lifestyle.

how about a single mother just out of high school no time or money to go to school, disowned by her family and because of the economy, there are a lot of over qualified people applying for the same jobs as her so she can only find openings at fast food with her experience and education.

just one hypothetical of millions where perfectly mentally-abled people are forced to work low paying jobs to get by.

At her age kids grow out of stuff way too fast. That is just slapping all Americans in the face showing off how much money these people spend thoughtlessly while most Americans are losing their homes and don't have enought to eat or can not pay for their medical bills or medications this little girl who is still growing is spending that much on just Shoes, Make me mad how the Unbalanced distribution of money gets spent in this country. Why many suffer and a few live without thought of anything or anyone. Enough said....

though I love tomkat, this is too much. Besides, after a year or so, she won't be able to fit them, then what? Will Tom Tom give those away? I think what makes me more upset than people spending thousands of dollars on material items like clothing, is the designers that are somehow able to make it seem as if their shoes/jeans/dresses deserve to be priced that high.

This says much more about the parents than it does the kid. Can we all say ' hypocrisy ' together? These are are sooo liberal betters. I wonder if they ever asked themselves how many disadvantaged people could have been helped by 150,000 dollars? No they decided it could better be used for a five year old's shoe collection. I don't want anyone to think I'm saying that Tom and his sweety are any worse than most liberals, sadly this is typical behavior.

Don't get the wrong idea from my post above, if you earn money you are under absolutely NO obligation to spend it on anything other than what you want to spend it on. My post is related to liberals who insist ' I ' should be forced to pay for causes THEY believe in at the point of the federal gun, then do things like this.

Yes, and I said 'could' which I think might be a good let out clause, so I am under NO obligation to sound like a Nazi. Although why should some kid have $150,000 pairs of shoes while some kids have to walk around barefoot, their feet bleeding because of all the stones and broken glass, because they have none?

Because her parents can afford it and they want to buy it for her. It is unfair but life generally is.

It's weird how we have an imbalance of rich and poor in this world. I just think that because they are so rich they can afford to be so selfish.
