Los Angeles is set to host its first annual L.A. Fried Chicken Festival. The festival will take place in Beverly Hills towards the end of August. Celeb chefs will be in attendance, cookin' up their favorite fried bird. How do you feel about fried chicken?

Wouldn't it be great if there were an entire food festival devoted to fried chicken? A place where you could indulge freely in golden brown, crispy pieces of chicken? That's the idea behind the first annual Los Angeles Fried Chicken Fest, coming Sunday, Aug. 26, in Beverly Hills.

We have it once every two or three months, I hear ya though. I am Irish and cannot stand corned beef and cabbage, just the smell makes me ill. Had way too much as a kid. When St Patrick Day rolls around the wife fixes it. I fix something else.

We have the Delmarva Chicken Festival in Delaware for decades. Delmarva stands for the Eastern shores of Delaware, Maryland and Virginia.

The part I enjoy the most is harassing the protesters from PETA who show up every year. They have to stay across the street from the grounds so we throw peanuts in the shell at them. The cops look the other way and laugh.

Sir I love California.....a very beautiful state.......I wish so many liberal crazies didn't live there.......there are fine people in CA just as they are anywhere.......unfortunately it appears the liberal whacks like Feinstein, Pelosi, Boxer and Maxine Waters and Henry Waxman run the state..........now it's broke......didn't mean to trash your state......only the liberal politicians in San Fran, Berkely and Oakland.....I love CA my friend......

I can't argue with any of what you have stated, we have the worst of the worst and they have turned it into a mess. It is still a beautiful state but things have been so bad they are talking about shutting down our state parks. Pretty sad that is for sure. Bless you have a good one

We have our problems here in NC too........I've been to CA several times, from San Diego to San Fran.......Worked in Azusa and Arcadia in '97 for 6 weeks......Truly love Carmel, Monterey and Big Sur and the San Fran area.....Never been up into Sacramento.......great food and I met some great people.......

I am in the bay area, but love Monterey and it is only about two hours drive time so go when we can. I have never been to NC just upper East coast, Helped shutdown the Philadelphia Navy Public works center back in 98, pretty much helped close a lot of Navy bases and laid myself off to boot.

I haven't been to CA since '97....love all of CA except LA......don't care much for LA, but San Diego and the rest I really liked.....I shot some beautiful pictures along Big Sur and Carmel......love the area.......love the Bay area as far as scenery and the food......I have a friend that lived in the San Ramone area for about 20 years, but retired in Winchester, VA....In the Shenandoah Valley of VA......a big contrast from CA......

I have several I took of the Golden Gate myself and the Oakland Bay Bridge also....and Alcatraz......love Salsalito.......and Anchor Steam Beer......I can get it here in some stores.....a very fine beer in my opinion.....
