Facebook’s first day of trading following its $100bn flotation has
been gate-crashed by a $15bn class action against the social network.

Users of the service have filed an “amended consolidated class action
complaint” in federal court in San Jose, California, relating to
allegations that Facebook has been “improperly tracking the internet use
of its members even after they logged out of their accounts”.

I use facebook. They don't have any of my finacial info and I think they really don't care what I do on the web and people file lawsuits all the time because the courts allow it. Look at McDonalds for having hot coffee and making kids to fat. Really? It's all stupid.

I'm on it but I don't use it much, I find it rather boring. It's only interesting if lots of people write to you. But I haven't got many friends so nobody much writes.

I much prefer dear old sodeyhead with all its faults. I've got nearly 900 friends and there's always lots of questions to answer.

There just won't come a day when I create a FB account. It's kind of funny because my wife is more current on my family than I am: "Did you know your niece just finished her Master's Degree?"

If I was on Facebook, I would want to be part of this lawsuit. I read about this earlier this year and I have made sure that I won't be opening a Facebook account anytime soon. I'm not really thrilled with Google's actions either.

Heck no! Facebook sucks! I had two account, and I deleted them both. I'll never use Facebook the rest of my life. Screw Facebook! I hope the class action lawsuit is a winner!

And I have to constantly sweep my hard drive for tracking cookies. Lots of sites drop them on your drive and stalk your every move. The take home is, if you want to do something that you wouldn't want people to know about, don't do it on the Internet. It's the world's worst possible hiding place.
