When your company has 800 million users, its success kind of speaks for itself. But the social networking giant Facebook also has its fair share of haters. In fact, Facebook ranks as the most hated company on the 10 Most Hated Companies in America published by 24/7 Wall St.
Facebook made its initial public offering (IPO) of stock last month. The offering and pricing had negative backlash and critics bad-mouthed the company for weeks. Mark Zuckerberg has done amazing things to grow the company and its revenues, but critics complain that the young CEO does little to publicly inspire his company's new shareholders.
Sometimes people will just hate popular and successful trends. The internet has a meme for that: Haters Gonna Hate. Is that the case for Facebook?

Then again, no matter how "bad" Facebook is, there is nothing quite like it now that people have decided MySpace is not "cool".
I mean really, WHY! My email account was hacked once and via that my Facebook and since I have only got real actual tangible friends in the main section with my media and hobbygroup networks tucked neatly away, I was terrified my nieces and nephews would have their info stolen thanks to them in their all teenage wisdom putting EVERYTHING up "just in case someone needed to contact them".
I don't even use my real name. THIS isn't my real name. WHY would you make your FB public and then post so much info on yourself?? It's not FB's fault, it's YOURS!
If you want to share stories and opinions, go to Sodahead.com
Soda Head would be the new FB if it got more publicity!
You deserve it ! :)
So I didn't check anything, just left it blank.
Do only smart people NOT have a FACEBOOK™ account?
I was reading this article on the internet called "The Facebook Troll – The "ULTIMATE" Guide."
I have never been interested in "MySpace", "Facebook" "Twitter" or any other internet website forum where you plaster your name and photos all over the internet, and give daily update alerts on when you took your last bowel movement.
Possible employers are now scanning facebook and other like minded sites for incriminating evidence such as political views, personal habits, lifestyle choices and other insights as to why they should or should not hire you.
The FBI, NSA, TSA and CIA use these sites to input faces into a government facial recognition database to locate criminals and scan the faces of law abiding citizens that my commit future crimes at a later date caught on CCTV, due to the things they say, the foods they eat and the place where they take their vacation.
When myspace came around "smart people" already knew what was coming. "Smart people" avoided such sites like the plague, and giggled at those who didn't. Then came facebook and twitter.

Nobody with half a brain cell thought this was a good idea. "Smart people" saw it's negative potential and immediately knew it for what it was. An Intrusion into the privacy of everyday citizens and it's Orwellian "thought crime" potential.
The US Government, like any government will always work outside of the framework of laws and individual liberty.
"Liberal" and "Conservative" propaganda has brain-washed average people into thinking less privacy, especially when given at free will, is more. They have convinced "dumb people" into thinking the "one" party system is actually "two." (left/right)
There will always be those not so bright persons who ask questions like... If you have nothing to hide why would you object to granny sharing photos with her loved ones on facebook?
To those people, you are too stupid to understand and answer this question in the first place.
