Confidence in technology stocks will be lifted.
Hundreds of tech-friendly millionaires will be created.

Entrepreneurs are inspired to innovate further.

Why is the Facebook IPO so big?

Not a lot of companies have movies made about them and not a lot of under-30 CEO's spend $700,000.00 per year just on private jets.

look I'm not a huge fan of facebook...but that being said this is freakin huge, anyone who thinks it isn't is fooling themselves. Just because you yourself doesn't like facebook doesn't have anything to do with how big this is, do you have any idea how many people use facebook and how often?

I like to see a company started from nowhere and grow to a enterprise. That's what's great about America. You have a good idea and turn it into something.

I have privacy concerns with them but I have my account locked down pretty tight and keep checking it.

I don't think Zuckerman is the nicest guy but I am not a jealous person so more power to him.

Its HUGE. I am surprised that anyone doesn't see how big this is. This will be good for people looking to get going with amazing technology ideas. Its just unbelievable. The Facebook legend grows!! Started in a college dorm room and set to pass one billion members. The Tech industry is rising fast, its a good time for people to get into business with it.

too expensive. facebook would need to acquire at least 30% of all advertising revenue to make it profitable

It may be a big deal for those investing, profiting and cloning start ups. However, I see the value going down once more people want in.

I do not use my Facebook very much at all. Some people live on Facebook so who knows.

It is not my cup of tea.
