Facebook just bought a leading facial recognition company for $100 million. The Israeli facial recognition company shared more than the first four letters of its name with Facebook -- they both share an interest in connecting faces with names. Facebook previously purchased the wildly popular photo app Instagram for $1billion. Now Facebook can integrate facial recognition with its vast network of names, tags and social graphs.

Great, now I can take a photo of that girl in the mall, face recognize her on Facebook, get her address, and stock her. Who's that guy I see driving in front of my house? Why, that's Jim Brown, the man my neighbor's wife is having an affair with. Drug dealers use Facebook too, right? Oh, the possiblities here just abound!

Bad move

The FBI department on the 3rd floor was the one pushing this. Now they can not only remotely turn on the computers camera they can identify anybody also. Why in the world is anybody on Facebook?
