Ever had elderberry juice?

You can also make wine, jelly, and jello from elderberry juice. I've heard of some people pouring it on their pancakes. Elderberry juice has a lot of vitamin C.

    LOL I guess I should have explained that I used to grow elderberry bushes. You can buy bushes in seed catologs. My grandmother used to gather wild berries and make pies. I loved them.So, when I saw bushes for sale in the seed catolog I bought a couple for my backyard.

    i've had wild elderberrys before! there quite yummy i heard you can make a great muffin out of them and there really sweet! yummy!!!

    People don't see it in a supermarket so most assume it can not be eaten. But they are really good when picked at the right time.

    This summer I went to the Lewis and Clark center in Astoria Or, ate some fresh ones from the vines. But they had been large and so too sweet. Better when they are a bit younger.

    Elder berries are real good when steeped, or try this, add a cup full to a bottle of gin. Wait 6 months.

    I also like sloe, a kind of northern apache cherries. Eat them green to cure stomach aliments, or eat a bunch green and get a little energy buzz for fun.

    Also try Salmon berries.

    just from eating elderberries I haven't had them since I was a kid. There was a patch of elderberry bushes up in the woods where we played when we were kids and we would pick bunches of them and eat them. It was pretty cool there was also wild grapes and huckleberries near by too.

    It's dark burgandy can be made into a suryp, but is good as a juice. It's very tart and needs the sugar or double the honey to make it Ok. (Warmit a little so the honey will melt, but not boil the juice. ADD SOME WATER. I mean it. By the way you s=did notice I saifd the sugar is there to make it all right and not sweet.????
    It is a dynomite drink.

    Yes, I've had elderberry juice in some form.

    We made elderberry wine and jam when I was a kid on the farm. We also used to smear it on pork chops at breakfast.

    Grandma used to make elderberry jelly. Back in the day, we ate about any thing that didn't bite us first.
