the spookiest drive was on the flight line between four am and sunup. aircraft were moved around using tugs, the running lights of the aircraft were on as markers. The action was completely silent. all you would see were this small blinking lights moving quietly along.
I saw an animal that I had never encountered before. It had a long body, short legs, and looked like a rolled up shag carpet. Odd head too. I never did figure out what it might be.
some totally Drugged up POS jumped out of the shrubs along the road and started dancing in the middle of the street ..
(with others in the vehicle .. I was just glad I had my high beams on and saw the rustling to slow down and be able to avoid this nut .. )
Then there's the time where various and sundry wildlife were snoozing on my patio as I came home from work .. needless to say .. they didn't like being awakened by a vehicle pointing bright lights up there (I always have a spotlight).
I don't mind vendors and street performers (that is how they make their incomes) .. it is the oddities .. for the sake of being NUTS .. that just irritate ..
I heard about that .. at a local Renaissance Faire .. we had a lady dressed in White Grecian Robes .. standing on a pedestal .. All in white paint .. doing a similar routine .. (when you gave a bit of $ .. she'd turn and move .. ) frightened some small children .. and startled some adults .. just a bit of PERFORMANCE Art .. that's all .. (but I can see why the guy would have been startled!)
there is the blue man with a whistle and he does the same but the bush man or tree man scared a man by making a noise as he walked by...the guy had a heart attack and bush man found himself in court but he was not convicted of any crime since it was street art and his intent was not to hurt anyone
Yes, in the Midwest. There is one or two living around the town I live in. It is really a strange feeling to see. I have seen it twice in a two year period. My ex husband saw a black bear one night when he was driving home from work.
Me too..I guess it would have got the car first...:) It just watched me drive by while I was staring at it! I thought it was a black lab at first, but the eyes were different when your car lights shine on them... then you see the tail, paws and head/ears...and I was like OMG, that is a huge freaking black cat!! LoL!! Have you ever heard one scream? Really chilling!!

Totally dangerous to any driver/passengers in vehicles ..
(it's one thing to poison your body with drugs .. want to suicide .. but don't do it in a manner where you are endangering others with your stupidity)
i agree with your second statement....i just wonder why some choose to endanger others
I was in SF on several business trips .. I know what 'oddities' are around there (and what I never want to 'see' ever again!)
