In my opinion, since we all come from different backgrounds and have different beliefs, knowing how to conduct ourselves makes our world a much more pleasant place to live because it creates civility in our lives. This is particularly true in the business world as well where sensitivity toward others can have a big impact on the success of businesses. I would love to hear your opinions.

I usually think of etiquette as something like using the proper eating utensil, not putting your elbows on the table, or knowing the exact behavior expected towards "royalty", for instance. I do appreciate the intent of courtesy, over a mistake made in ignorance.reply

Learning the proper way to eat in company, meet people, say "Thank you", interview for a job, make friends and aquaintances, and appear professional is going to be essential in their lives.reply
