In Cairo, a 25-year-old Egyptian man cut off his penis and mutilated his testicles in an effort to spite his family. The Egyptian laborer had unsuccessfully tried to receive his father's approval for marriage. But because the Egyptian man was in love with a girl from a low class family, the father refused to agree to the marriage.
