Daiquiris To Go sells it's customers alcoholic beverages through a drive through window and MADD is attempting to put a stop to it. Mothers Against Drunk Driving claims that because the beverages are in a sealed plastic bag and not a bottle it is easier for people to consume them while still driving. Should drive throughs of any kind sell alcohol?

- Jamie 2009/07/25 06:13:15 (edited)Yes, if you can carry closed alcohol in your car why not?I'm supportive of anything that upsets the facists at madd! There's no difference between going through the drive through and getting out and buying it and putting it in your car. Someone can sit at home drinking for six hours and then get behind the wheel and present a danger to everyone. They don't have to go to a drive through.reply

reply - kaykay7293 2009/06/18 01:37:54 (edited)No, it promotes people to drink and drivedefinately not! just because you can carry closed alcohol in your car doesnt mean you should make it easier to get to it. anyways. if you like to drink, how can you resist a cocktail sitting rite next to you, no matter where you are? it will be jus like if you got a soda from mcdonalds. your going to start drinking immediately!reply

- H-Dizzle 2009/06/17 00:32:36I think selling alcohol at a drive through...is about as dangerous as selling alcohol in any other kind of store. Convenience is no excuse for intention, if you're stupid enough to drink and drive you're gonna do it one way or another.reply

- buddy 2009/06/16 17:03:02Yes, if you can carry closed alcohol in your car why not?there is a little store called the eskimo hut of which i thought was a ice cream store, NOT. DRIVE THROUGH MARGARITAS, DAQUIRI'S, BEER, ETC.....reply
- gregaj7 2009/06/16 06:25:54I think selling alcohol at a drive through......Is as contradictory as "military intelligence". In the muni-corp STATE OF COLORADO, the impaired level is .05 and the drunk level is .08. I think we all know how wise it is not to have "drive-thru" alcohol. Thanks for reading.reply
- chiglet - Daedric Sigil Mag... 2009/06/16 05:53:51No, it promotes people to drink and driveThere is (or at least used to be - I haven't looked for it lately) a drive through liquor store right across the street from the ASU campus.reply
- Sean 2009/06/16 04:23:10Yes, if you can carry closed alcohol in your car why not?Yes, if you buy closed alcohol from a store and put it in your car it's the same thing. Making it illegal to buy alcohol from a drive-thru store is a violation of our rights. Doesn't MADD have something better to do?reply
- cingular 2009/06/16 03:34:41No, it promotes people to drink and drive...and thats how people lose their livesreply
- cjs810 2009/06/16 01:42:01Yes, if you can carry closed alcohol in your car why not?You can go in and buy it then when you are in your car open it.. what is the differance if you get it in the drive through?reply
- Common Sense Conservative 2009/06/15 20:01:08Yes, if you can carry closed alcohol in your car why not?I've been going through a drive through since I was old enough to drink and I have never opened one up to date while behind the wheel. I few years back a group of friends from alifornia went back to my home town in Nebraska and we stopped to get some beers and I went through a drive thru and 2 of the Californians about died because they couldn't believe it. It's not like they open the bootle and put a straw in it for you. They bag it just as if you are in a store buying it. Once again, commen sense.reply
- clay 2009/06/15 18:49:33 (edited)I think selling alcohol at a drive through...is great for the police, all they have to do is wait till you drive out and arrest you for dwi. makes life simple!!! one stop shopping!! don't pass go, don't collect $200.00, go directly to jail!!!reply
