Holy Crap! Dog poo criminals watch out! Technology has finally caught up with you. Jerusalem, Israel released a warning to dog owners who don't clean up their poo in the Holy City: "The municipality pilot project calls for establishment of a database of dog DNA to allow us to reduce the soiling of pavements, parks and public spaces." Jerusalem veterinarian Zohar Dvorkin said, "This way, there will be nowhere to run."

This is stupid. There are much more important things such as catching REAL criminals. Not picking up dog scat in a park for DNA testing. If the cops catch them, fine 'em but a database? Ridiculous. I'd like to see any of those scat cops try and pick up soft mushy dog turds. I bet you they won't.

Well, I can tell you that I would be the last one to worry because I ALWAYS clean up after my dog no matter where I am with him. People who do not clean up after their dogs are lazy, inconsiderate, rude, and arrogant. I get so sick of going to a park and wanting to walk in the grass but can't because some a**hole did not clean up after their dog.

seems like over-kill to me.

i would, however, support the concept of a database to track irresponsible fathers and require them to support their children and the children's mothers.
