Yes, there are rules but they're not really enforced.

I'd assume there are rules...not that anyone ever pays attention. Girls show their belly buttons, hats are allowed, short shorts are worn, and bra straps are visible. Girls in my school are sluts.

But, based on the area I live in and how high the grades in my school are, I'd be surprised if there aren't rules.

i go to a school where we have to wear the nerdiest uniform..ugh & as for make-up...we can wear it but not too much

-top buttons done up
-shoulder length hair & longer must be tied up
-only brown, black or green hairties
-no nail polish
-no dangly earrings
-no make-up
-skirt length must not be above the knee
-cannot eat out in uniform
-must wear school blazer to & from school & in public
-have to use school bags, not your own
-no Supre' or other shopping bags allowed to be used
-only black school shoes
-only school socks

& the list goes on...XP
My friend made a list of all the rules & it filled up an A2 piece of paper O_O

yeah when i went to school there were so many rues about the clothes, hair etc that u werent allowed to wear. bt no one listened to the rules and wore them anyway

yea i got to a private catholic school, but the uniform is just dress pants and a polo, but they all have to be bought from a specific company... and we can wear w.e. makeup and jewelry, but nothing too dramatic, and ur hair color has to be a natural color. for ex., you can dye your hair brown even tho your blonde, but just nothing like green or pink

why cant we wear regular clothes its not fair i say tara shouldnt have uniforms we should be trusted on what to wear we go though making friends passing getting good grades tests and once you see you have to wear uniforms well lets not go that far so i say we shouldnt have uniforms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

Well my old elem. school had uniforms that were ugly - and no nail polish, or any kind of makeup, oh, but the principal let her daughter wear eye shadow and colored lip gloss and black nail polish. I'm glad I'm finally out of there. We'll see what my high school is like. but we do have a uniform there.
