Does this show help explain why New York is such a liberal state?

Please don't get me wrong-I love dogs. I've always been a dog person. Golden Retrievers, Labs, Border Collies, Aussies, Corgis are among my favorite animals. So watching a show about handling dogs isn't a far stretch for me. But honest to God, seeing these silly people and how they handle these poor creatures makes me so sad. These are dogs. They aren't babies. And yet these people seem to perpetuate problems even when the dogs are dangerous toward their kids. But seeing how these people think, I now understand why New York is so very messed up and liberal.

As the trainer said "The problem is not with the dog. The problem is with the people."
