Like I seem to get reported if I use foul language in an opinion. Is it really that inappropriate or does it not phase you?

I've been around it a lot so I don't generally cringe. However, I do find it somewhat offensive. The frequent use of foul language is an indicator of two things:
    1) a limited vocabulary
    2) a weak argument.

When someone frequently uses foul language I tend to not take them too seriously.

It's pretty normal to hear it from people of all ages and social standings honestly. Not to mention when I am not somewhere I have to be professional I do curse like a sailor, not gonna lie.

    Lol, no, not at all.

The only thing that offends me is when people use the word "gay" in the wrong context or the use of any homophobic slurs.

It doesn't offend me but I find it stupid and sometimes annoying because many people are unable to construct even a simple sentence without throwing in a swear.

    Yes it does.

I think people who need to use foul language to make a statement are not intelligent enough to verbalize in a none-vulgar manner.

I served in both the Merchant Navy and the British army in my time so I can say with some authority that I have probably heard just about every curse, blasphemy and especially 'sweary' words known to man in the English language (and quite a few in other
    languages into the bargain! )
So when I hear 'swearing' nowadays I don't bat an eyelid. However, I DO automatically tend to categorise the 'swearer' as being probably not very 'bright', usually 'oafish' and invariably possessing a very poor vocabulary.....!!

Being raised in a Christian home with very strict parents, it was my way to rebel. I am 43 and still curse when necessary. Which happens to be daily. I do not curse at folks I curse with folks. And... hold on to your hat now.... I'm educated.

Truthfully it does, people have a tendency to use profanity when they are upset, however, this is an oppinionated format, meaning all who participates is within their rights to express what they feel. They shouldn't be cursed out, because you disagree, or because you lack words to compose a intelligent response. My grandmothers definition of a person who swears a lot, has not have adequare words within their vocabulary. Swearing is offensive to many!

I'm not sure if "offend" is really the word. It's more disappointment that people don't have sufficient verbal skills to do battle without resorting to profanity.

That's how my grandmother viewed swearing, lack of verbal skills, however, some people just like being nasty especially when someone has stepped on their toes, or disagreed with them in some way. It use to be a thing where everyone always put their best foot forward. Now, it seems the lower or the streetier you go it fulfills your worth. I liked your comment.

When a post pisses me off, I cuss all the time. It's who I am. I'm not going to get offended if someone cusses but I've been reported once because this person threatened me subtly so I threatened them back and I used a lot of word that should not be repeated. If you wanna cuss then cuss. It's life

Not all cussing bothers me, only when it's used to direct anger at someone, or I here a woman or young lady use the F-word. I could see the most beautiful woman in the world, but if I here the F-word come out of her mouth, I completely lose any interest in her. I don't like when guys say it either, especially like my neighbor who says it every other word, It's just classless.

To a agree, especially when their are children or ladies that i personally know in the audience. I have used salty language myself but never knowingly around kids or the fairer sex.
