I know a lot of people that find out I'm Athiest and suddenly dislike me...

Blessings to all and,
May all be well with you ^_^
It depends, but there are cases where I will judge people for the religion/belief systems they hold ortheir lack of belief systems that I feel are important to me.
good question!
Most of the time this is something I don't know about a person, because most people I come into contact with aren't religious, and those who are tend to keep their religious views to themselves. When you don't know a person's religious views, that is one less thing to pigeonhole them with, or irrationally dislike them for.
If you are an atheist, the best thing you can do, given the country you live in, is not make a secret out of that. The only way that bigoted theists will reduce their bigotry towards the non-religious is by finding out how many non-religious people there are, particularly among their own family and circle of friends.
But if I'm asked a question I will answere it as best I can.
There is a spectrum from Christian-in-name-only to True-Christian-á-la-Fred-Phel...
I don't associate with the latter.
The fact that you think the one must be the other is part of the problem - like many religionists you have here demonstrated that you make negative assumptions about those who you can identify as having different religious views than your own. Me pointing this out can be a learning tool for you to use in evaluating yourself - or, of course, you can just get angry at me.
