Toby Green of BodyAndSoul.com.au (Australia) writes, "Anonymous pictures, fantasies and thoughts are okay when contained." Contained? I think Green has it upside down to believe that one can look at pornography and have fantasies about someone other than your partner. Green only considers it cheating when inviting a "real third person" into the partnership.

Green therefore considers "sexting" as cheating in a relationship, stating people in relationships are being unfaithful when they send dirty text messages to someone outside of the relationship. What do you think? Does sexting count at cheating?

Not ok at all. Very insulting to the partner, if you ask me. If anyone I was in a relationship with did that to me, he would need surgery to have the phone removed from where I'd forcefully insert it!

Having an intimate connection with another person is cheating, wheather its physical or not. If you're talking dirty to someone and you develop sexual feelings for someone else, how is that not betrayal? Some may not think that, but if my boyfriend was texting another girl in that way I would be really hurt. It's not like watching porn.

Eh... You're typing. Depends on who you are and what you sort of have established is OK or not... Cheating is not playing by the rules. If you're unsure of the rules ask your GF or think about what you'd be ok with her doing. Sext her about it. Anything can be cheating. Some couples don't give a crap. Others you can't even look vaguely in the direction of another girl. Or think the word "girl."

Fantasy in normal and natural in a long standing relationship or marriage and why I'm a fan of role play..Sexting someone else is not .I need to respect and honor the man I'm with,that doesn't fit knowing neither of my Ex's would have been okay with it. If you have a personal commitment to another person, then anything you do that violates or diminishes that commitment is wrong. You will know, even if the other person never knows. It will always be there and eat at you. If you have an open relationship or an unwanted relationship, then who cares? You really aren't commited anymore. We all fall short in our relationships and some shortcomings may be more serious than others, but that doesn't deny the fact that they are wrong.
