Of course! Anything that improves blood-flow, helps to oxygenate our organs, improving their function. Exercise has demonstrated the same benefits. And, sex can be quite a work-out, depending on how you do it?

Then again, the test measured results based on arousal... not sexual activity. That could reinforce the notion that men are smarter than women? (Who gets aroused more... men or women?)

Females have often argued that men get smarter, because they are plugged in to them! *Smile*

I would assume that its about stress relief. I say this because there are plenty of smart people who cannot get dates, so obviously they aren't any smarter due to sex. Unless practicing counts?

It does, however, release endorphins that send "happy" signals to your brain, thus helping you relax, which can free up the mind and help you sort your thoughts. The other result can be quite the opposite: it can cloud your judgement of the person you just had sex with. So it kinda depends on the subject ;)

Sex is something that makes all human beings feel good,so if your feeling good you will be able to "Think and focus" better! It's when your unhappy or depressed that you don't do good! Think about it?? "Euphoria"!!

All you have to do is introduce sex in a subject and some of the people turn into 15 year olds. As an intelligent person who has engaged in sexual activity for many years, I can report, anecdotally of course, that while it is great fun I do not find it does anything for my intellect.
