    I certainly hope not...If it is not real love, then it will die, but if it is real, it should be able to overcome most if not all life circumstances that occurs to two people. :)

    No. Even that first love never dies. I've been in love twice and now on my final one, hopefully, and I still love them a little. Not as much but the love is still there. Love is something that, if its true, then it won't ever go away

    I believe that real love is based on the spiritual harmony of compatible personalities, but soul mates also require compatible values and desires, which usually take much longer to discover. Many couples break up when they discover they do not have enough in common, regardless of spiritual harmony.

    Compatible personalities may work in the short term, but permanent relationships also require compatible souls. Without moving TOGETHER through this adventure of life, all relationships grow stale and die.

    Unfortunately true love takes work and commitment. Just like the love of the father, one cannot just say they love God and walk off in the opposite direction. Earthly love is just one more way I believe God gives us a template for how his relationship with us works. If you don't water that seed it WILL die. The up side is that when you nurture it, it is the greatest gift of all.

    You're very welcome! Bach is one of my favorite writers. He is best known for "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" but his "Illusions" is a wonderful little book. Also "One" and "Bridge Across Forever".

    I met a man who was friends with him and he told me that the book came from a dream Bach had. I just googled it and found that this is true. I have dreamed songs so I am fascinated by this. "Illusions" was a real eye opener for me.

    Even real love is always work in progress. You put nothing, you'll get nothing. It is like tending one's garden, if you continue to weed, water and feed your plants, they'll live for a long time until death comes.
