Does knowing that there isn't a Santa Claus worry you that when you have kids, that you won't be able to pretend for them that there is a Santa Claus when really there isn't?

That is true. He does exist, but sadly it is more about the gifts then the true meaning of Christmas!reply - Angi Fantasy... 2011/11/26 20:20:38
Unfortunately you are right to a extent. But right now people's jobs depend on commercial interests. I don't know though some still remember the real meaning of Christmas. Recently I went to a shop where they were clearing out due to the recession and the shop/firm was closing. I felt for these two young people who faced the dole queue once the stock was gone.reply -
Yes. That is true. People are hurting because of their jobs being taken away from them.reply - Angi Fantasy... 2011/11/28 16:40:02
Its a mad world. Lets hope there are many Santa's this Christmas. If the story is true re misers then there are a lot of wealthy bankers being visited by Ghosts this Christmas, looks like the spirits of Christmas gonna be busy this year.reply -
+1crossing my fingers!reply - Angi Fantasy... 2011/12/02 21:17:43
If the ghost were busy this Christmas we may all have a better new year. lol.reply -
+1O, ok then. I will hope along with your that the ghost is busy this Christmas so that you have a better year next year.reply - Angi Fantasy... 2011/12/08 20:34:44
What I mean by that is if the bankers are reminded not to be so bloody greedy everyone might have a better year. Who knows. I recently went to see a Pantomime and they did Scrooge and it definitely struck a cord with what is happening today. Obviously their are some differences.reply -
There is little change but not much change.reply - Angi Fantasy... 2011/12/10 22:42:40

+1Sorry.reply - Frank 2011/11/24 18:53:41No it doesn'tNo- we did the Santa Clause thing with our kids. I wonder if Santa Clause is a cherished memory for them- or left them feeling lied to. Santa Clause is a Cherished memory for me- and I think it is for them as well. But I still feel very badly for the disappointment they felt-especially my oldest- when they found out.reply

Me too :(....The look of shear devastation and betrayal was almost to much to bear. Then I also added that you know the toothfairy is not real, right? She started to cry. We are dirty rotten liars to our kids? Why do we do that???????reply - Frank shinnis 2011/11/25 11:27:41
+1Well, the kids kind of figured it out. But it is a tradition that we pass on- as we went through the same thing. Actually- I pretended I still believed when I knew there was no Santa because I thought it would guilt my parents in to giving me what they otherwise would not. If Mom and Dad said they could not afford it- then I'll ask Santa- knowing there was no Santa. Unfortunately for me- Mom and Dad were too sharp to fall for it.reply -
I don't know what I had felt when I had found out that santa wasn't real, but I hope that I will be able to keep the magic of santa real while my future kid grow up, but with my luck, I will just mess it all up.reply - Frank Fantasy... 2011/11/26 01:02:23
Give yourself a little credit. Once you have a child- some instincts take over. You will be guaranteed to make mistakes- but the most important is to love your children and make sure that they know it, and admit your mistakes. Ultimately, that is what they will remember.reply -
+1Thanks Frank for the confedence. I will try.reply
