The Mormons are full of totally wack concepts. After all, the "religion" was concocted less than 100 years ago by a crazy dude named Joseph Smith, who thought he was a prophet like Abraham, Jesus, or Mohammed--and could converse with "God/Yahweh/Allah". Their scripture in The Book of Mormon teaches that white people are superior to blacks, "....as they were white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome, that they might not be enticing unto my people, the Lord God did cause a skin of blackness to come upon them. And thus saith the Lord God; I will cause that they shall be loathsome unto thy people, save they shall repent of their iniquities."

mormonism is an offshoot of christianity, created in a time period when other christian churches shot off of mainstream protestants.

There is no reason to regard mormon beliefs as more crazy as any of the other christian doctrines.
