Does God listen to our requests and prayers? Or it's a feeling that people say faith and we keep doing it? Things just happens randomly to all of us regardless of who we are what we are and whenever we are? What do you say?

In my experience he enables me to see the truth, do I always follow the truth, on accident, not always but he still shows me when I fail, I just know when it comes from him. he listens to my prayers but answers only the ones that are through him in his good works. I can and have asked selfishly for things over and over but it is when my prayers have true meaning that he guides me to the right answer. I am a work in progress, I still have a lot of learning to do before all my prayers are right with God and selfless.

There is most likely not a deity as any religion has described, or perhaps none whatsoever. IMHO.

You may think He is not listening to you, but actually He is. In His time He will help, you just got to keep your faith up, and keep telling yourself He always listens. :)

I know He hears me because He has answered my prayers, even my silent prayers.

As to randomness of life, whatever randomness is - yes. To God nothing is random, for He knows the future and the past, but He sends His blessings to all, the evil and the good. Sometimes the blessings seem like curses, but they are all for our good, for our experience.

He always listens, and he always gives an answer, but not everyone will listen. He is the ultimate parent, he gives us what we need even if its not in the form we think it should be in, and doesn't always give us what we want BECAUSE we DON'T need it.

I don't believe a personal god is listening but Gandhi's "God of Truth" responds to our actions with karma. So perhaps it depends on how we define "god" and "listening".

If you say there is no truth, it becomes a self-contradictory truth, no? At a minimum we can say that reality is truth even if, paradoxically, it's an illusion. The only argument against the existence of Truth that is irrefutable is Nagarjuna's Voidism which falls under the rubric of Wittgenstein's infinite regression of definitions in my opinion. Ultimately Truth is an experience and is best enjoyed by using Einstein's perspective: “There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”

I get a chuckle evertime I hear someone say, "God answered my prayer" "I got my raise" or I found something that was lost" Like this god is helping them while around the corner some child is being beaten up, raped, murdered, starving to death.. and This god ignores this.......Yep! There is no eveidence whatso ever to indicate this God does anything... Just coincidence....

"whatever you ask" is not a lie. You just need to read and understand the whole chapter, actually the whole Bible. Jesus is speaking of the disciples ability to do works as He has done. 12 “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. 13 You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. 14 Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!" The main condition is to ask in His name and in tune with God's will. Another huge condition is that we honor Him and keep His commandments and believe that Jesus is our Savior. And yes He can help Grandma find her keys, but yes, there is still evil in the world. Satan is active in this world. But that's the point, this is not heaven yet, it is the world therefore not perfect. None of us understand God's plan because we cannot see the whole scope of His work from beginning to end. But know this, everything single thing that happens to a person who loves the Lord and is walking in His will, goes toward working for that person's good. No ifs, ands, or buts. But also understand that God's concern doesn't end with this world it is on the eternal. In eternity things will be perfect indeed.

again the old dodge,, "You dont understand" it either means what it says or it is a lie... Period...Besides this Jesus of the bible did not exist.. there is no evidence of his existance.. People that wrote the fairy tales said that this Jesus said that or He said this... I bet you dont even know the original Ten Commandments......

Yes; God loves all His children. So He even helps those who don't necessarily pay much attention.
But obviously, as His Son taught us to ask in faith, then if we do those things, He will surely help us - even though sometimes H e will give us a better growing situation from th one we may now have - as He knows what is best for us in the end :)

    NO, he dosn't.
    Why?
    god doesn't exist.
There's Narure, the universe, physics and the implicate order of matter and energy.
Maybe that's 'god', mabe not--whatever, in any case I've had an 'interesting' life.
Interesting along the lines of the Chinese Curse; 'May you live in interesting times.'.

I am the better for having gone through it all, survived and such--but I will be dropped into a blast furnace before i give or allow any credit for such to be given to god. MY survival and struggle, I get the credit--NOT 'god'. MY life.

If god is listening, it's a voyeur who's getting some cheap thrills...but don't waste your time waiting for an answer.
To me, it's the ultimate 'deadbeat dad', and if it exists, then it has a LOT to account for to me and others.
if 'god' is the implicate pattern of matter/energy/field structures/gravity...then it's got a consciousness so differnt from ours it wouldn't even register a question was asked.

Yes I'm touchy about 'god' and here's why...
    No proof.
Some damn tough situations in life I had to adapt to FAST, and all alone. I lost my parents at 17, in a blizzard on highway 16 'The Widowmaker'.. Since that point until marriage, I was alone aside from my closest and best friends.
I got through it, I did. 'god' wasn't there to even hand me a kleenex...

I got through it, I did. 'god' wasn't there to even hand me a kleenex...so if god exists, it can rot, burn, and choke on it's own poisonous old testament bile.
It will not be creditted for MY works, My succsses, MY life. I live WITHOUT god and am the better for it.

I do sincerely and genuinely apologize to folks upset by this, but pain, pain meds and 48 Hrs of no sleep, this is ME, no pretense, no shields, no 'mask'.
This also ties in to why Husband and I love each other so much--we are all, aside from Brianna, each other has. Dot. NO family but each other, the Last of our lineages.
if god came down and said 'place me before the love you have for your wife.'
Martin would kill god for it's arrogant presumption, on the spot, and make it's skull into a novelty mug and it's leg bones into flutes.
Same goes for allah, buddah, etc..
Yes, Husband is a very dangerous and expertly skilled man. He also has the heart o a lion or a dragon.
Given what I know about his heart, he could snap god's neck like a dry twig, as Love is power. I've only ever seen him angry once, after I was attacked in our home...no god could withstand that! Not for an instant.
Again my apologies if you dislike what you read, but it has the virtue of being nakedly honest.
