Does anyone use paper checks to pay for anything anymore?

Yes, for a few things, but nowhere near what I used to use. A box will last me 3 or 4 years as opposed to the 2-3 boxes per year I used in the past. I pay a few bills by check, make my church tithe by check, and pay with checks for things like Girl Scout Cookies or nieces' and nephews' birthdays and Christmas. Most of my purchases are made with debit cards, so I rarely have cash on hand, which makes checks convenient many times.

I use the odd paper cheque to pay for the odd thing where convenient for small items. I certainly don't use paper checks. What am I checking up on. I'd probably use a computer to make a check not paper.

Many places really won't take paper checks anymore, but they do take debit cards. The world is a changin'!

Paper checks are still a viable means of making a purchase at some places.Many of them have systems that electronically deduct the funds from your account immediately.
