I think everybody has cried to at LEAST one song. Most of the time its because it reminds us of a situation we've been in or that certain somebody<3 music is so powerful.
a song that gets me crying: Wake Up by Coheed & Cambria

2.) "Danger - Keep Away" by Slipknot
3.) "Only for the Weak" by In Flames
    4.) "Killing Loneliness" by H.I.M.

Yes but it's not always the same songs. It really depends on my mood when I'm listening to them. With me it's happened with a lot of different songs although some songs do tend to make me cry more than others.

Yes. There are a few songs in this world, less than 1000 that are said to be so emotional, as if they were given to us by God himself. These are some of them:

There are lots of tunes that do that. The Townes van Zandt cover of 'Dead Flowers' by The Rolling Stones, especially.

Of course, either because the music's awfully sad or because it fits in your life perfectly, anyone with good taste in music has cried at least once (or ten times)

In high school I had just gotten through my first big break up and for whatever reason this Dream Theater song made me cry listening to it one morning.

Yes, mostly orchestral works though. A great piece will give me goosebumps everywhere, shoot tingles down my spine, and make my eyes well up. This usually happens when the climax of the piece isn't big and loud, but strings playing forcefully, yet quietly. Most of the Lord of the Rings soundtrack does nicely.

Lyrics aren't necessary 100% of the time and can't always convey raw emotion. They say when words fail, music speaks.

This piece gets me every time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?...

  • 2012/06/28 04:58:32
Yes, if it's a very emotional or touching piece I will cry. Also, if I can relate to the song and it's lyrics. I don't think it's strange at all to cry to a piece of music, if it moves you that much then I don't see a problem with it.

Music is one of the few things that I can feel emotional about. Even there, I hide my emotions well in public, as I've been taught to do.

Five Years by David Bowie. Not sure why.. I was in a pretty hyperly obsessed mood when I first heard it, and to go from listening to such an upbeat song (Suffragette City) to a song about the end of the world it was just like 'Oh my, we only have five years to live! I don't wanna die!'
