my real parents have never been religious. but they did send me to church on Wednesdays for bible study. in that case, i guess they are Christian, which makes us different. but by the way they act, you wouldn't know it.

my adoptive parents are pretty hard core Christians. i wonder if they even know that i'm Atheist. i don't exactly hide it, but i don't flaunt it either.

My parents, like the rest of my family, are Christian but don't go to church. They believe in God, though. I'm an Atheist and don't believe in God at all.

I was raised in Christianity which has over 38,000 denominations in it. From my studies I have found that Christianity is pagan to the core and so is the name Jesus Christ. The true Messiah inherited the name above all names which would be Yahweh, so Yahweh is the name of the true Messiah and there is no other name for salvation.

We are all Christians, but follow different denominations. My parents are/were Methodists (Daddy passed away 3 years ago). My brother and his family and I attend a non-denominational evangelical church.

My dad was raised Mormon, but walked away when he was 17. My mom was raised Protestant but has not been to church in decades. I am Pagan, closer to my ancestors, but I don't practice devotions or such, because I don't have the time. I do have the faith, and I feel that that is the most important thing to have. Going through the motions without actually believing is horrible.

My family is deeply religious. My father is a minister, my mothers father was an elder in his church, as was his father. They had high hopes that I would follow in their prints and become a minister, myself. But my life changed when my favorite aunt came out as a lesbian. I started to question the logic and plausibility of the things I'd learned when I was younger. Over the course of the next 8 years, my faith in God shrunk a little at a time. I don't know at what point I actually stopped believing, but the day I accepted that as the likeliest hypothisis, and admitted it, I was 28. In the years leading up to it, I had read the Bible cover to cover, twice. I had studied it with my Dad, my friend Sam (a Methodist pastor), as well as 2 other ministers and 4 Army Chaplains. I had struggled to keep my faith, because I knew my family would react the same way to that, that they had to my aunt. I was right. But in the end, I just couldn't deny the reality I'd experienced. Truth isn't subject to coersion or bribery. It's just truth.
