Hmm. I think 15 is old enough to hang out with a boyfriend without parental supervision. I think your parents either don't trust you, or don't trust your boyfriend. I advise you do what they want for now. They need to get to know him better and see that he's a good guy, so let him hang out with your family. Have him over for dinner and stuff. Once they know him better, I'm sure they'll relax their strict rules.

Anyway, no. My parents were mostly quite sensible. But they weren't into hugging.

Ok how old are you and how old is your boyfriend? Not for nothing but you should be happy your parents love you. They are trying to protect you. What if you and your boyfriend go too far and you end up pregnant? Or what if this guy is cheating and he gives you an STD?

I know it sucks and you feel like your freedom is being infringed upon but, they love you ok. Appreciate that because one day your parents will be gone and I hope you enjoy the time you have together. Your parents will be there for you more than any guy will. Trust me, I've been there and done that.

My parents can rot in a hole for all I care, they think they understand me because I'm just a typical teenager, well they don't. I'm not average and that's going to sound like what every other teenager says but I'm not. I'm intellectually above average by far. I don't care what they think, they're wrong.

I'm not trying to be mean but you have a lot of growing up to do. You need to appreciate your parents. Where would you go if they weren't there? Where would you live? How would you be able to afford food, clothes, etc..? You are forgetting parents are people too and they make mistakes just like YOU and I do. Oh, I am not a parent but I used to think like you do.

For one thing, I pay my own way in my household. My food, my clothes, my EVERYTHING. We don't pay rent so I chip in my fair share at utilities. I'm sorry if I do sound like a typical teenager but my parents need to grow up and realize I'm not a baby. Sorry if that doesn't suite their damn fancy.
