YES!!! They give me different instructions and different values.
Mom says stand up for yourself; dad says shut up and take it
Mom says an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth; dad says dont get revenge
Mom says speak your mind; dad says shut up and sit down
Mom says don't back down; dad says run
Mom says not to let dad treat me like crap; dad tells me he doesnt care if i like how he treats me or not
Mom says put people in their place; dad says let them be.

They give me opposite directions! and dad is a total hypocrit in all his rules!

They give me a list of fifty things to do, and expect me to do them all at once. If I screw the tinest thing up, its an hour of shouting. When they screw up, its swept under the carpet.

my dad is being utterly draconian, i had a day of school today and he left me with no games controllers, only enough money to feed myself and a note saying that he'll keep the controllers for a month if i haven't finished my cousrework by the time he gets back, i was going to be with my crush today, but now that i've got no merlin pass or money to take her anywhere, i have NOTHING TO DO while someone who hates me is at a themepark with her. my dad told mehis plan to do this just as i was going to phone her. i have been allowed an hour to do my own thing.

They used to. The grand thing about growing up and moving away is the limited contact.

Dad & Mom divorced when I was four. Dad was rarely around, so he was a Hero to me till I learned later in life that his later step-children came first.

Mom did as best she could as a parent. Worked her butt off to support my sister and me. Dad never paid support, so it had to be rough for her. I had a couple of step-dads, but to them I was just the 'wife's kid.'

The complaints you list are peanuts. I can still feel the knot on the back of my head given to me by my step-dad as he back handed me with his big ruby Masonic ring. I was 11yo and turned on that hulking man saying, "If you ever hit me again, you will be sound asleep one night, but will wake up with my knife collection in your chest!" It absolutely freaked him out. They wanted to send me to live with my dad, but that never happened.

Just do the best you can with what you've got and you'll keep from going insane.

But for different reasons. They say i was never abused and its all in my head. I've had my mother tell me to be a Domme and my father to be a slave. And the list goes on forever, but i think what makes me insane with them, is thinking everything i remember is fake and that im the insane one, while they are the perfect family and not abusive.

thats the way my dad acts. he always acts like i'm insane when i say something bout him hitting me and then i tell mom what he does and he turns all sweet and nice and makes it look like i'm making it up. he's given me a black eye and busted my lip plenty of times and i sent a pic of it to my mom once and he convinced her that i got hit with a softball even though it was my lip and my eye. then i got grounded for it and he took my phone and told mom it was because i lied. He makes me feel like an idiot and like i'm imagining everything

oh i know. At one point i had the um basically the truancy(sp?) called on my mother and told them why i was scared to go home and such. And she convinced them i was lying and making things up. Of course they believed her, and i got hit really bad, and a few cig. burns as well. Dad would do most of the punching in my face. I have broken or messed up bones because of both of them. And now, since im talking about it, and getting it all out, they come back, talk to so called friends, saying im lying and so forth and that they are going to sue me and such because im slandering their names. I had to talk to my father back in Jan when my grandma died, and he changed so much. He hated my guts and no love at all, and mother was just the same as always, but a bit sweeter than anything. And all she wanted to do was get me to be the slave to them again and be just mindless.

my mother isnt as bad as my father. she just yells but he hits me. But niether of them trust me and i have always done my best to be good and i have never done anything bad enough to make them treat me like this. He hit me because i wouldnt hug him or tell him i loved him and when i told him not to touch me he slammed me against the counter and bruised my side. Everytime he hits me and i say something he always tells me thats not what happened and then gives some stupid scenario and expects me to believe it. He convinced my neighbor i was lying when i told them and he always convinces my mother and some times i wonder if i'm crazy and imaginning things,

I understand that. My mother did a bit of the physical but more mental/verbal. And she did the same thing, she told neighbors that i was lying and what not. But i think right after i left, they saw how she was. Seems like they have gotten worse without me there. But i know that feeling, when i talk to family anymore, i feel like im the one that is crazy and im making everything up. But you have to keep telling yourself no, im not crazy, it does happen and so forth. Keep up the strength and soon enough you will be out of it.

They do sometimes. I love them, but my dad can be very...insensitive, and so can my mom. My mom can't let things go and is kinda uptight sometimes. But like I said, I do love them.

Not Really. My Mom calmed down quite abit after I got in to Jr High. Maybe it was after I stopped her from slapping the tar out of me & told her that was like her the most in temper.Plus I was a bit to big for anyone to hit me & get away with it.

Sometimes, when my mom nags at me, or when my dad interrogates me, or when my mom drinks, or when my dad smokes all the time, it irritates me. But they don't drive me insane. They give me everything I need, including love. So that'll never drive me insane.

My mom constantly says she is poor. Her and her husband (step father) have a high package of cable (Not sure but they have more than 200 channels and on demand), internet, all of them have phones, and they have four laptops-three that are for my stepfather's business. How does that constitute as poor? Mom is like: "I don't even have enough money for groceries."
