I just want people to be themselves. If we were all alike, it would be remarkably boring because we wouldn't need to ask people about their opinions--we would all have the same opinions; and we would all react the same way to things. It would be boring and annoying; when we are different, you get to learn from each other. If you're both the same, there isn't much room for personal growth.

My husband and I were different, but we had similar values and dreams and goals. However he had an affection for golf, that I never understood, and he really did not share my enjoyment of hiking. However we always found things we both liked and took time to do the things we really wanted to do.

No, I want my mate to nice but to have an edge to his personality though but not bad boy. I would love a mate but I am not looking at all because I am focusing on me before I find myself a mate or the mate comes to be me.

Sometimes yes but most of the time she's the opposite. That to me complements both of us.

I wish we shared a few more common interests but I wouldn't want her to be just like me.

Compadible yes, with similar interests and hobbies; yes one that plays well together. My main girlfriend, and in fact my backup girlfriends all enjoy partnership dancing. My girl has differences and I enjoy it. Some of my backup girls would want me to change to be like them and other backup girlfriends would try to change to be like me. Personally I like women with personalities, small variations from the norm and an interplay.
Now that I'm older, I sort of went back to my disco strategy... When the cats away the mouse will play... She went with her daughters and grandson to disney, so I played, but not a seriously.... Friday night we went to a new C&W; dance place and a woman was interested, but she came off to weird. Now at the Saturday Night West Coast Swing, a new woman friend and I danced away. She wore a slinky dress and Torpedo Bra. If that babie wanted me, I'd have a new girl by now. Last night my main babie came home and we went to the big band dance on Tuesday night. And I'm waiting for the Thursday night over and our vacation to the mountains.

Heavens no, I like that she is different, it creates balance in our household. We like a lot of the same things but have differing opinions on news items.
