We've always had a love/hate relationship with those American flag bikinis. Yes, they look sexy on the right person, but they can also be a little ... corny. That said, we do like this Ralph Lauren two-piece.
And we do like to wear red, white and blue in some form on the Fourth. A red-and-white checkered shirt does the job perfectly and subtly, especially when paired with denim shorts. For guys, you could always go for a pair of American flag swim trunks.
Or, just break out your favorite American flag bandana.... Do you wear red, white and blue on the Fourth? How do you wear it? Or is that just too cheesy for you?

Granted, some people can wear some really tacky outfits on the 4th, or any number of holidays. But I make alowances for playful festiveness, and don'tmyself wear anything that could be categorized as over-the-line or tacky.
And God bless the girl above in the flag bikini!
I don't really participate in Australia day though, because I'm not one for walking around in tiny shorts sigelets and the Australian flag painted on my face.
