Sometimes my mind can perceive things in an altered manner, but my heart always leads me in the right direction. I feel better when I follow my intuition, because I know it's guiding me in the proper way
Love never fails; but it must always control both in order to prevent failure. We have a precious mixture here.
“War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.” ~ John Stuart Mill
But on the other hand;
“Of all the enemies to public liberty war is, perhaps, the most to be dreaded, because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these precede debts and taxes; and armies, and debts, and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few.” ~ James Madison
So I guess it depends on the content of the subject. Common Sense rules best when Compassion is used as a guide. It is a type of paradox I guess; Love your enemies! If you understand how that works out, then you have used both your Heart and Head.
Happily, my wife got my heart a long time ago. :)
