Where I live, there's no need for it for the basic traveling needs. In fact, I rarely see a taxi or a bus, unless I drive into a bigger city near me. I've only used public transport when I went to Atlanta(the subway or whatever it is there).
I have a car, I don't live in a city where traffic is a problem (except once a year when the bridge run takes place)- so I just bop around in my Mazda 2
Nope. I don't use public transportation unless I'm in Hawaii. I like "the Bus" in Hawaii. It's the best bus system around. I live in Georgia now though. :)
Well, I lived in Hawaii for about four or five years. Last year was the last time I was there. It was my third times back there, and I spent around nine months on O'ahu. :)
It's unreliable and creepy. If it were safe and efficient I'd try it. I like the ability to drive home from a night of work late at night, but I would never wait at a bus stop at that time.
On the bus there would be old men leering at me, drunkards, people talking on their cellphones and irritating teenagers. No thank you, I will drive. I'd ride the subway if I were in NYC, but only certain routes.
I would if I had a viable option, though. I really do miss living in Europe where you could go to the continent on the weekends (I was staying in Scotland), and world capitals and major cities were a short bus or train ride away. Plus, walking and biking were perfectly feasible instead of absolutely scary. I like my car, but it was very idyllic living without one.
If I lived in a larger city I might take advantage of what's being offered to me rather than wasting a lot of gas. I just live in such a small city that public transportation isn't necessary.
I live in Nebraska, so no. I drive a car. But everywhere I've been (new York, London, Paris, Chicago, Phoenix, etc.) i just used public transport and loved it.
I used to and every now and than do to get to a major city I am not a fan of our Transit system they are too expensive and even charge for parking so I never use it.
If where I'm going is not too far, then I just take the taxis (or cabs) depending on the distance and weather conditions.
I've used the trains and subways when I was away also. It was fun. :D

The subway plus walking is faster and I'm able to get to work on time.
