I'm just sick of politics on SH. But there are other sensitive issues I will gladly give my opinion on. I just don't get negative and angry at others here. That's not good for me or anyone else.

I'm a noob, so I've not had the occasion to avoid more than one particularly nasty thread. I base the decision to avoid on the potential that my opinions are REALLY gonna piss people off. I don't mean miff them just a tad, I mean piss 'em off.

I avoid questions that are simply opinions, unless that is what's asked for, and I still won't answer if it's outside my experience.

Pissing off the ultra-conservative and ignorant people (who, I'll admit, are not always the same) who populate so much of this site is like crack to me.

I try to avoid the controversial questions because most people on here don't know how keep the NON controversial questions civil, let alone the controversial ones. But I end up participating in them anyway because a friend needs help or someone says something so idiotic that I must step in and say how stupid they look.

It's not so much that I enjoy the controversy, but rather that I have no problem with it so don't avoid it.
