Over all, yes. Locally,no.

I don in my hometown. But not were we are at the moment.

I trust the county sheriff, but not the city police.

They're ultimately glorified hall-monitors and revenue collectors. Show them the same courtesies you show everyone else but keep your wits about you.

I trust myself and my rifle.

No but then again only two people i will ever trust.

I did when I was being hurt, I was helped by them and they gave me a new life which no doubt was hard when in started out but I saw the benefit in why they did it later.
But certain incidents in the current couple of months has made me rethink that as I never expected them to segregated helping people into civil, criminal etc. just because of choice of words. It made them look so apathetic to life as a whole and that they wouldnot react unless there was murder, hurt or death or even live abuse taking place.
It changed my outlook completely, but if they do something to reinstate that faith into me, I would say yes, I trust the police because they have helped both my family and myself in the past.
Right now, I neither trust them nor hate them but just pity them for their outlook to life as a whole as the way they deal with things are now increasing the crime rates around. Its not a onesided story but both sides of the coin. They need to learn the background, the culture and the ethnicity before passing a judgement and above all, take every single complaint that comes to them seriously as it may just as well stop a bigger crime from taking place and people from unnecessarily dying or getting hurt around us.

Some, The one on this planet are a tad pretentious, good guys a lot of them but still...

but I trust very few people...
