No! I'm tired of getting more stuff that I don't need which fills up my closet. I can take a gift card and get something I actually have a use for. I got a $100 AMEX gift card for Christmas. Went to Fry's Electronics and picked up this little honey for my laptop:

The thing is the size of a deck of cards and it holds 1 TB - (nerdgasm)!

I don't find it insulting, but a gift that shows you know the person and took time thinking about a good personal gift seems a lot cooler to me.
