Basically.... Says that no child should suffer just because of what his or her parents do.... Not every family on food stamps are druggies....the biggest problem I see is illegal Mexicans usuing benefits that should go to Americans....

The biggest problem I see is adults trading food stamps for money or people lying about the people living in any household that receives food stamps. Fraud is far more widespread than any of us thinks and it takes food out of the mouths of children that are hungry.

Being poor isn't a crime. Doing drugs is. Would you want to see your taxpayer money fund someone's drug habit or someone's dinner? Chances are it's the latter and we should test for the former.

I will gladly pay for a drug users dinner if it saves someone else from the indignity of being treated like a criminal in order to eat. I don't choose to punish all because of the behavior of a few. I sincerely hope you are never poor and need the assistance of your community.

Drug testing isn't being treated like a criminal. It's ensuring that you're spending the money the way the state intends you to spend it. I'll pay for the drug user's dinner, but not the drugs.

When you have nothing you shouldn't have to prove that you need help. We have lost our way in this country. The selfishness is astonishing. We have an obligation to our communities and our fellow citizens. When everyone is well fed, when everyone is well educated, when everyone has access to health care a nation can be strong. When the weak are singled out to be brow-beaten and "tested" you can tell things are going badly and things are going very badly in our nation.

On the rest, about our totally corrupt government, I'm dead serious.

Our poor and the downtrodden should not have to go though anymore pain and suffering by being forced into drug testing

What the hell? So im on drugs just because I need food stamps now? Ive served this ungrateful nation....worked as a fire fighter and search and rescue...and owned a business...I was making enough money....and had enough hours at work to afford my life....then Obama came along and all that changed...now hrs are cut back...no over time...the cost of living went insane ... Gas prices...while the pay went down.. Its not my fault Obama is allowed to do what he is doing...and I dont use any drugs at all...so that attitude is just b.s.

No I didn't say that, I said if they are on drugs they don't need my money. I don't know where you are are but the abuse and fraud he is rampant. The ones that actually need it aren't eligible and the ones on it are driving Cadillacs and flashing wads of bills bigger than the working people have. If we could get the frauds off the assistance we could give more to the deserving ones. I appreciate what you have done and didn't want to offend the legitimate people on it, but the frauds need to get off it.

Yeah they do that Here...mainly its illegal Mexicans....they finally gave it to my family after three reviews I only needed it to help buy my kids food.... See my comment above.
