It all depends on how you define God. The way many people define God is something I could never consider true or good. I spent the first 40 years of my life a church musician in several denominations. I've always also been a practicing mystic and a scientist. Through this I have never maintained that anyone's ideas about God are correct. Furthermore I know without doubt that God can neither be proven nor disproven. I read athiests and often find they really aren't. I do not consider them wrong though. I think it is a waste of time and energy to struggle with something we will never solve. I live my life in love, as love, with love. I really think that Jesus was one of the smartest people never taken seriously. People get all distracted with the resurection trick and ignore the very wise things he taught and the very important things he told us we must become in order to bring what he called, "the kingdom of my Father" to earth so we could live in this life as happily as in the next. Even if there is no next life that's still excellent advice. I am a great admirer of St. Francis & St. Claire. I am a practicing Wiccan.

Not “A” god, many goddesses and gods…but I really only “follow” one goddess…Mother (Gaia)
I love her in all she is, but there are others I love too…but yeah…I live for Mother ^_^

    Blessings to all and,
May all be well with you ^_^

I follow a pagan path of cycle which fits in very well with the cycles revealed by physics and biology all of which connect with each other and are never actually seperate from each other. There are more exciting things found in a drop of water than in all the musings of humanity ever set to print.

Which on first off? As many faiths claim there is a god, only the name of the god(s) changes and the stories all seem to be oddly similar and everyone cannot be correct.

Since all faiths make extraordinary claims with no evidence, who's to say any of them are right or real for that matter?

Does he have a say-so in your everyday life? No
You have free will and can make your own mistakes. Learn from them and be a better person.

Ya America! He use to be an Atheist too like you and me, but both of us trusted Jesus as Lord and those who mock God do so because they according to the Bible it says:

Those that mock God do so because they parish in their sins. You mock God because your Conscience convicts you and you refuse to acknowledge God because your deeds are evil and you love your sins.
The Bible said that in Romans 1: Further, they refused to acknowledge God as God so he gave them over so they would abuse themselves, and lust and exchanges the Gospel for a lie.
Where men joined with men and women with women declaring that there is no God but became fools in their mind.

Not Judging that is what the bible says and if you do not believe God you call him a liar.

God exists, indubitably. I see god in what he made for us. I see him in humans that willingly accepted him knowing it, and and in those that are at this time not awaire of his presence in them.

I'm not comfortable with believing that gods exist when there is so much suffering in the world. It would be like being under an evil dictator...

That "suffering" doesnt come from God, it comes from His enemies (mankind) that reject Him, and will do anything to "say He doesnt exist."

God has given man free-will to make this world a better place, or to destroy it.
You don't have to not believe in God to be evil. Many do evil in God's name (bin Laden, Yasser Arafat, Cortez, etc).
And many do very good in God's name ( Mother Theresa, Oskar Schindler, etc)
  • ACTS AP... brewmas... 2012/06/16 14:05:18
    ACTS APOSTOLOS
See, that is where you're wrong. Laden, Arafat, etc. all do it for the name of "their god," not The Almighty Creator. BIG DIFFERENCE.

Do you assume that God sees our suffering as his/her responcibility to "solve"? What if God sees our suffering as something temporary and neccessary? Like our tiny lives against the backdrop of eternity? None of us gets out of life alive and God has no problem with that, perhaps because God/life/matter/space are eternal. When you take your child to the doctor to get an immunization the child begs not to be hurt by the needle. He tries to bargain, he screams and he hates you. All you can do is say, "If I didn't take you for the shot you could get a disease that will make the rest of your life agony." When the child grows up and sees people crippled by the disease you saved him from he sings your praises. What if we are like that toddler and God is like the parent who knows that the little agonies of life are nothing compared with the possible agonies avoided?
