Absolutely not and they should have a lot more taught about it. If the comic books (the history books) in school really told the truth of history and our real history we maybe here in america probably be much better people than we think we are. In school they should show the original series of World of War’s and I’m sure that children would then grow up with a much more peaceful mindset than most of us have now. We know now because of studies on children, which they’ve just done within the past 20 years that what happens to a child or what they are taught between the ages of 9 and 12 will make that child what they will be when they grow up. I myself saw that series when I was 10 and I grew up striving for peace and also realized too that no matter who you are or what authority you have (say president, king, etc..) that it does not mean that you are better than anyone else and that someone in high positions are capable of doing real evil. And it made me to always look behind the scene of all things to find out if things are truthful or not. So, well yes they should teach it and teach a lot more of it and teach about our real history too instead of teaching all those lies in our history books to make us look oh so good when we have an absolute appalling history

Not just no but HELL NO! We can not pick and choose what part of history we want to remember we need to remember it all, both good and bad. I started learning about it in elementary school, just not in detail. I think it should be started before middle school. Just the basic facts: "There was a man a long time ago in Germany named Hitler. He was a bad man who did bad things to people."

We had a whole semester of WW1 and WW2. Our teacher brought a film one day, actual footage of the Holocaust . . . it has to be taught. If we do not teach it as the real event it was in all its horror . . . it will be repeated

People today are so worried about scarring the children in the world that they want them to think the world is a Disney movie with singing birds and everything is green and happy. How can we prepare our kids for the real world when they think everyone will be nice and sweet and honest to them?
