I'm optimistic (given you refer to peace between different countries). If a certain level of wealth and democracy is reached, peace will be preferred. There has been no war within north america or western europe for quite some time and I don't see war coming anytime soon. In countries that are prone to war levels of education are increasing. This leads to a stronger economy, more democracy and less war. But of course it's hard to predict when the whole world lives in "peace".
The world is not as black as the news paint it.

Certainly not in my lifetime, and at the rate things are spirling out of control around the globe, I don't think, any generation I can fathom, is going to see it...I can only hope if does not get worse...
